How do I as a carer/nursery owner benefit from accepting Childcare Vouchers?

Being paid through Avent Childcare Vouchers is a direct payment from a working parent’s salary and is therefore a guaranteed payment for the nursery reducing the chances of outstanding debt.
Additionally, as Avent Childcare Vouchers are saving the parents money, they may choose spend this on increased childcare hours and so you may see your revenue increase.

How do I register with Avent Childcare Vouchers?

You just need to complete a simple registration form containing your name, contact details and Ofsted registration number as well as bank account details to allow electronic transfer of payments into your account.

How do I redeem the Avent Childcare Voucher?

Normally, we encourage parents to set up a direct payment facility with ourselves allowing the nursery/ carer to be paid direct on a monthly basis without any intervention from the nursery / child carer.

What does it cost me as a child carer/ nursery owner to register with Avent Childcare Vouchers?

It doesn’t cost you anything at all to register with us and you are helping working parents to make their child care costs more affordable.

How can I amend the details you hold?

You can call us on 07970 102492 to inform us of any changes to your payment or contact details quoting your Avent Childcare Voucher Account Number and we will update your details accordingly.

I am not registered with Ofsted – what should I do?

Simply apply to the Ofsted Childcare Register by visiting: http://www.ofsted.gov.uk. Alternatively, you can register with the equivalent childcare registration bodies wherever you are in the UK, including Local Health and Social Services Trusts (Northern Ireland), The Care Commission (Scotland), Childcare Approval Scheme (Wales) and The Care Standards Inspectorate (Wales)

What counts as registered or approved childcare?


    Any Ofsted registered childcare, including:
  • Day Nursery / Nursery School / Pre-School
  • Playgroup / Crèche
  • Childminder/ Qualified nanny / Au pair
  • Out of school clubs
  • Holiday schemes / Holiday Play Schemes
